2ND SPECIAL GENERAL ASSEMBLY MEETING FOR THE CONFIRMATION OF THE MUNICIPAL
CHIEF EXECUTIVE NOMINEE
Pursuant to Order 3(7) (c) and Order 14(1) of the Model Standing Orders for District, Municipal and Metropolitan Assemblies, a Special General Assembly Meeting was held on Friday, 16th May 2025, for the
confirmation of the President’s Nominee, Mad. Sarah Amoakoaa, as the Municipal Chief Executive for the Asante Akim North Municipal Assembly.
However, the Nominee failed to secure two-thirds majority of Members present and voting. Pursuant with Order 15(5) a second election was held on Monday, 26th May 2025 for the confirmation of the Nominee.
The Electoral Commission conducted the election for the confirmation of the Nominee and the results were as follows;

By this, the Nominee, Mad. Sarah Amoakoaa was not confirmed as the Municipal Chief Executive of the Asante Akim North Municipal Assembly for the second time as she failed to poll the required two-thirds majority of Members present and voting.
