Monitoring Team Visit Report – FSRP Activity at Serebuoso, Asante Akim North
Date: 12th February
On this day, a monitoring team conducted a field visit to Serebuoso in the Asante Akim North Municipality as part of ongoing activities under the West Africa Food System Resilience Programme (FSRP). This vital program is funded by the World Bank through the International Development Association (IDA) under their Multi-phase Programmatic Approach (MPA).
The Project Development Objective (PDO) of the FSRP is:
To increase preparedness against food insecurity and improve the resilience of food systems in Ghana.
During the visit, the team observed key interventions aimed at enhancing food security and strengthening local food systems. The program targets include:
Reaching 300,000 direct beneficiaries
Achieving a 20% reduction in the number of food-insecure people
A food-insecure person is defined as someone who lacks regular access to enough safe and nutritious food for normal growth, development, and an active, healthy life.
The visit at Serebuoso allowed the team to interact with stakeholders, assess implementation progress, and gather feedback from beneficiaries, all of which will inform continuous improvement of the program’s delivery and impact.
