On Wednesday, 8th October 2025, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Sarah Amoakoa, officially welcomed the Member of Parliament for Asante Akim North Constituency, Hon. Ohene Frimpong, to the General Assembly Meeting of the Asante Akim North Municipal Assembly.
The meeting, which took place at the Municipal Assembly Hall, was convened to deliberate on the progress of ongoing projects and development programs within the Municipality, as well as to discuss key policy directions and collaborative strategies for improving service delivery.



In attendance were all major stakeholders, including Assembly Members, the Municipal Director of Education, representatives from the Security Services, the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO), the Municipal Health Directorate, Nananom (Traditional Authorities), and the various Heads of Departments within the Assembly.
The MCE, in her welcome remarks, expressed appreciation to all stakeholders for their continued dedication to the development of the Municipality. She emphasized the need for unity, collaboration, and effective communication among departments to ensure that government programs and interventions achieve their intended impact.
The Hon. Member of Parliament, in his address, commended the Assembly for its hard work and urged members to continue prioritizing the welfare of the citizenry. He further reiterated his commitment to working closely with the Assembly to address developmental challenges and promote sustainable growth across all sectors of the Municipality.
The meeting proceeded with detailed presentations and discussions on the status of various development projects, challenges faced by departments, and proposed solutions for improved coordination and resource utilization. The session concluded with a call for collective responsibility in driving the Municipality’s development agenda forward.
