On Wednesday, 17th September 2025, a comprehensive training session on the Smart Workplace platform was conducted for staff members. The primary objective of this session was to educate and sensitize participants on the government’s new initiative designed to digitize operations across all departments and agencies using the Smart Workplace portal. This initiative, which forms part of a broader national digital transformation agenda, seeks to reduce overdependence on paper-based processes and encourage the adoption of innovative, technology-driven solutions. By promoting efficient, paperless workflows, it is expected to enhance transparency, streamline communication, and improve service delivery within the public sector.

The training was expertly facilitated by resource persons from the Office of the Head of Local Government Service (OHLGS) and eSolutions. These facilitators brought a wealth of experience and practical insights into the use of the Smart Workplace platform, demonstrating its key features, benefits, and best practices for effective implementation. Their presentations, interactive discussions, and hands-on demonstrations equipped participants with the necessary skills and understanding to integrate the portal into their daily operations successfully.
