Today’s Meeting with Key Stakeholders
Today, a meeting was held with the Director, the Municipal Finance Officer (MFO), the Head of the Budget Department, the Head of Internal Audit, the Revenue Head, and the general revenue collectors. The primary focus of the discussion was to explore strategies for enhancing revenue generation to ensure the proper functioning of the Assembly.
During the meeting, each department and individual was encouraged to play an active role in identifying and implementing measures to raise capital. Key points discussed included:
1. Revenue Collection Efficiency: The Revenue Head and collectors were tasked with improving the efficiency of revenue collection processes, ensuring that all potential revenue streams are tapped into effectively.
2. Budget Optimization: The Head of the Budget Department emphasized the need for prudent financial management and the allocation of resources to priority areas that will drive growth and development.
3. Internal Audits: The Head of Internal Audit highlighted the importance of transparency and accountability in financial operations to build trust and ensure compliance with regulations.
4. Collaborative Efforts: The Director stressed the need for teamwork and collaboration across all departments to achieve the Assembly’s financial goals.
