As part of measures to address the furniture deficit in Basic Schools within the Asante Akim North Municipality, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Francis Oti Boateng, presented over 600 dual desks to Thirty-six (36) Basic Schools in the Municipality. The desks were procured with funds from the Assembly’s share of the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF).
In a short ceremony at the Municipal Assembly’s premises on Wednesday, January 10th, 2024, Hon. Francis Oti Boateng presented the desks to the Headteachers of the respective Basic Schools. He also urged them to ensure the utmost maintenance of the desks.
The Headteachers expressed their gratitude to the management of the Assembly for their constant support and reiterated that this gesture will go a long way to improve teaching and learning in the Municipality.
