A dissemination workshop on Multidimensional Poverty Index(MPI).

2nd July 2024.
A dissemination workshop was recently held to present the findings of the Municipal Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI) Report. The workshop brought together key stakeholders, including government officials, local leaders, and representatives from civil society organizations, to discuss the report’s findings and their implications for policy and development planning within the Municipality.
The Municipal MPI Report offers a comprehensive analysis of poverty within the community, going beyond income measures to include various dimensions such as education, health, living standards, and access to essential services. The report highlights the areas where residents face the greatest challenges, providing valuable insights into the underlying causes of poverty.
During the workshop, participants engaged in discussions on how the findings could inform targeted interventions aimed at reducing poverty and improving the quality of life for all residents. Strategies for addressing the identified gaps and ensuring that resources are effectively allocated were also explored.
The workshop underscored the importance of evidence-based policymaking in addressing poverty and inequality. It also emphasized the need for continued collaboration among all stakeholders to implement the recommendations of the MPI Report and achieve sustainable development goals within the Municipality.
