A General Assembly meeting was held on thursday, 18 December 2025, at the Assembly Hall to deliberate on key administrative and governance matters of the Municipality. The meeting also marked the final General Assembly sitting for the year. In attendance were the Hon. Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Sarah Amoakoaa; the Municipal Police Commander; the Fire Service Commander; the Coordinating Director; and Heads of Departments.
The meeting primarily focused on the presentation and discussion of reports from the Executive Committee meeting, highlighting decisions taken, ongoing initiatives, and policy directions requiring the attention of the General Assembly. In addition, detailed reports from the various sub-structures and sub-committees were presented, outlining progress made, challenges encountered, and recommendations for consideration.
Members engaged in extensive deliberations on the reports, provided constructive inputs, and proposed measures aimed at improving service delivery, strengthening inter-departmental coordination, and enhancing effective local governance. The meeting concluded with resolutions and directives for follow-up actions to be undertaken by the relevant departments and committees, thereby bringing the Assembly’s General Assembly activities for the year to a formal close in line with its development objectives.
