SERIES OF SOD-CUTTING CEREMONIES AND BOREHOLE PROJECTS HELD ACROSS ASANTE AKIM NORTH MUNICIPALITY.
As part of the Government of Ghana’s commitment to bringing development closer to communities through the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF), the Asante Akim North Municipal Assembly embarked on a series of development activities from Tuesday, 11th August to Thursday, 13th August 2026.
The three-day programme focused primarily on the provision of educational infrastructure, health facilities and potable water, with a number of sod-cutting ceremonies held at selected communities across the Municipality. The activities formed part of broader efforts to address critical infrastructure needs and improve the living conditions of residents.
Tuesday, 11th August 2026 – Adinkrakrom
The series of activities commenced on Tuesday, 11th August 2026, at Adinkrakrom, where a sod-cutting ceremony was held for the construction of a 3-unit classroom block with an office, store, staff common room and 4-seater WC with toilet facilities.
The project is expected to provide a safe and conducive environment for teaching and learning while improving the working conditions of teachers and the general educational environment within the community.
The initiative demonstrates the Assembly’s commitment to investing in educational infrastructure and ensuring that communities have access to facilities that support quality education.
Wednesday, 12th August 2026 – Agogo T.I. Ahmadiyya
A sod-cutting ceremony was held on Wednesday, 12th August 2026, at T.I. Ahmadiyya Agogo for the construction of a 3-unit classroom block with an office, store, staff common room and 4-seater W/C toilet under the DACF.
The project, being executed by Naska Ltd, is expected to provide a conducive learning environment for pupils and improve teachers’ working conditions. The contractor has five months to complete the project. The MCE, Hon. Sarah Amoakoaa, assured the community of the Assembly’s commitment to monitoring the project to ensure quality delivery.
Ultra-Modern CHPS Compound at Nhyiaeso
A sod-cutting ceremony was held on Wednesday, 12th August 2026, at Nhyiaeso for the construction of an ultra-modern CHPS Compound, funded through the DACF.
The project, being executed by Naska Ltd, aims to improve access to quality primary healthcare for residents of Nhyiaeso and surrounding communities. The contractor is expected to complete the project within five months, with the Assembly committed to monitoring the work to ensure quality delivery.
