SANITATION DAY @ ANANEKROM

The National Sanitation Day exercise for this month was held on Saturday, 8th August 2026, at Ananekrom in the Asante Akim North Municipality.

The exercise brought together the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), the Municipal Coordinating Director (MCD), staff of the Asante Akim North Municipal Assembly, Assembly Members for Ananekrom, community-based clubs, the Seamstress Club, schools, and residents of Ananekrom.

Participants took part wholeheartedly in cleaning and improving the sanitary conditions of the community. The exercise focused on clearing rubbish, cleaning public spaces, removing weeds, and promoting proper environmental sanitation within the community.

The strong participation from the various groups demonstrated the importance of community involvement and collective responsibility in maintaining a clean and healthy environment.

The Asante Akim North Municipal Assembly appreciates all individuals, groups, schools, and community members who participated in the exercise and contributed to making Ananekrom a cleaner and healthier community.

The Assembly continues to encourage residents across the Municipality to make sanitation a daily responsibility and to work together to keep their communities clean.
